ABOUT

Who we Are

What we look for in a dog

The outdoors is one of my favorite places to be and I’ve always enjoyed sharing it with a good dog.  Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to work with and train a lot of different dogs which has been very beneficial in helping me become a better dog trainer and a student of certain pedigrees that I feel will make great all-around companions.  My passion is taking that love for the outdoors and dog training and being a resource for those who are looking for a great companion to share life with.

We are a small kennel located in Ohio.  We specialize in breeding Labrador Retrievers that carry strong field trial lines from the UK.  We feel these dogs bring us the health, athletic ability, and genetic soundness that create a great dog for those who are looking for an outdoor companion.  All of our dogs our breeding dogs are fully trained and a member of our family.  We spend a lot of time together in the outdoors; hiking, camping, watersports, horseback riding, and hunting.  Along with this our dog's partner with us in serving others.  We love working with and developing relationships with people, through training classes, demonstrations, and sharing the outdoors.

All of our breeding dogs are fully trained and members of our family.  We spend a lot time together training and sharing the outdoors together; hiking, camping, watersports, horseback riding, and hunting.  They also partner with us in serving others.  They are used for developing relationships with youth kids, perform demonstrations, hold training classes, and sharing the outdoors with others.

1.)  Genetic Soundness – we do extensive testing on all our dogs to ensure we are doing our best to produce a genetically healthy puppy.  We test for a number of different diseases and research pedigrees for hip, elbow, and eye scores.

2.)  Disposition – we only breed dogs we like being with (no exceptions).  We want a strong desire to please, a great work ethic, good drive, and natural ability in the field, a quiet demeanor and off-switch around the house, and a dog that wants to be with you.

3.)  Size and Athletic ability – we like a smaller dog with a strong athletic build.  Typically are males are between 50-65 lbs and females 35-50 lbs.  We demand a lot from our dogs and so we look for a body type and athletic ability that can go wherever you need them.
